Gibson J-185 EC Special 2006 Black - Used Good Condition
This guitar is one of a kind! These Gibsons are rare and hard to find. It plays really well plugged and unplugged and has a very resonate awesome tone; plus has such a killer look.
Its been well loved and played. Definitely not a perfect body but has plenty of character. See photos. Some fret wear especially in first position. Lots of dings and wear on the body but no cracks. Price is discounted below market value for the wear and knicks and dings. Some checking on the seams but no separation. Pretty typical for this year of guitars. Has been checked and set up by my luthier. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
Will be shipped fully insured. *Comes with hardshell case *I believe this is a J-185 model. Please also see the sound hole sticker.
2002 Les Paul Junior Special Faded Cherry - Used Very Good condition
Beautiful made in the USA Les Paul with faded cherry finish. This guitar is in great condition for being 18 years old. See photos.
If you are looking for a brand new spotless guitar, this is not the one for you, but for the guitarist who wants something different from the crowd and beautifully vintage, this is it! Here is what we know about it:
It sounds fantastic with the vintage components. Clean when you want it to be, dirty when you want it to be and completely dead quiet.
I had to do some research to figure much out about this one, but I couldn't find much about it. I think it was probably made in Japan by Matsumoko -- If I had to take my guess, I would say mid to late 1970s.
This thing plays great. The action is low and comfortable. There are a few TINY scratches and dings, but nothing too serious, and overall it just adds to the character of the guitar. The pickguard is real celluloid tortoise shell. I had to spot level the frets, and there is just the slightest bit of sizzle left in places in the mid range register, but nothing comes through an amp. The D tuner is a little loose and could use some help.
As always, I cleaned it up, polished the finish, oiled the board, flushed the electronics, changed the strings and set the action as low as I could. This guitar comes with no case or gig bag, but I pack all my guitars super tight and insure every package for the full purchase amount.
